Spa Etiquette

Cancellation Policies & Fees

Your spa treatments are reserved especially for you. We value your business and ask that you respect the Spa’s scheduling. Should you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. A same-day cancellation fee may apply to appointments canceled less than 24 hours in advance. Missed appointments will result in a 100% charge. Scheduling an appointment is your acceptance of these policies. All services (including those with gift cards) require a credit card to guarantee a reservation so please have your credit card ready when booking. Upon checkout, guests chose their method of payment. All major credit cards, checks and cash are accepted.

Cell Phones

Please respect fellow guests and the tranquility we provide by muting your cell phone upon arrival. Cell phone use is prohibited during spa service and in common areas of the spa. As a spa, we encourage our guests to “unplug” during their visit in order to achieve the maximum benefits our services offer. Should you need to use your phone, please inform your therapist so that you may do so without disturbing other spa guests. Cell phone use may disrupt the duration and quality of your spa services.

Check in

To ensure that we may offer the best service possible, we ask that you please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment time. We will do our best to accommodate late arrivals. However, the duration of service(s) may be adjusted so as to not inconvenience other guests. The full price of scheduled services will apply, so please plan accordingly.

Gift Cards (Plastic)

You may order your gift cards (a physical plastic card) in person, by phone or from our website.

  • Gift cards are mailed to you or available for in-person pickup during hours of operation, per your preference.
  • Gift cards are available for any dollar value and can be used toward the purchase of spa products, spa packages and à la carte spa services.
  • Gift cards are valid for 5 years.
  • Gift cards are not refundable or replaceable even if lost, misplaced or stolen.
  • Gift cards cannot be redeemed for cash, taxes or gratuities.


You may order digital gift certificates for spa packages, select à la carte spa services (massages) and for spa credit in any dollar value.

  • Digital gift certificates will be emailed to you to download and/or print. In addition, you will have the option to email digital gift certificates to one (1) recipient of your choice per order.
  • Digital gift certificates for spa packages and à la carte spa services (massages) can only be used for the package or service indicated. If the cost of the indicated spa package or services has increased between the time of purchase and redemption, you are responsible to pay the difference.
  • Digital gift certificates for spa credit can be used towards the purchase of any spa product, spa package or à la carte spa services.
  • Digital gift certificates retain their value for 5 years from the purchase date.
  • Digital gift certificates are not refundable or replaceable even if lost, misplaced or stolen.
  • Digital gift certificates cannot be redeemed as cash, taxes or gratuities.


Gratuity is not included in the price of service or spa packages. Customary tipping runs 15%- 20% but is, of course, up to your individual discretion. You may tip the therapist in the room or upon check out at the front desk with a check or cash. We are unable to charge gratuity to credit or debit cards unless arranged in advance.

Group Bookings

For parties or four or more guests, please contact our group coordinator for group booking policies and availability. You may also complete the online Group Event Form found on our Private Party website page, which is to be completed and submitted prior to scheduling. We advise scheduling group services a minimum of 4-6 weeks in advance. Group bookings are available Monday through Friday.

Personal Belongings

Please leave all jewelry and valuable items at home or securely locked inside your spa locker. Margot European Day Spa is not responsible for lost or misplaced items.

Pricing & Services

Prices and services are subject to change without notice. Should you choose to modify or upgrade your services upon arrival, please understand that a change in price is to be expected. We encourage you to communicate to any of our team members any questions you may have regarding your service(s) or pricing.


While we always try our best to accommodate last minute appointments, please make your reservations at least 1 -2 weeks in advance. Multiple and group appointments may require more notice in order to accommodate all requests. A credit card guarantee is required as the time of booking.

Return Policy

Return products are accepted with proof of purchase within fourteen (14) days of the purchased date, unopened, in the original packaging. You will receive a spa credit to use towards future visits.

Gift Cards & Digital Gift Certificates

  • Gift Cards are not refundable or replaceable even if lost, misplaced or stolen.

Terms & Conditions

  •  Please be advised that a deposit is required to secure your event date: Groups are required to give a one week notice to cancel appointments and 72-hour notice to change appointments. Cancellation and no show charges shall include full price service fees and gratuity.
  • A 20% gratuity will be added to all treatments for group services, and may be added to a credit card for your convenience.
  • We offer private room for our group guest events. If you choose to bring food or wine to your event we do require the reservation of our private room. The room is available during, one hour prior to, and one hour past completed services for a minimum fee of $150. Arrangements are required if you wish to stay more that one hour pre or post service times. Additional fees may apply.
  • If your group will be bringing in any beverages or food for the event, the reservation of the private room is required. Food and beverages are to arrive and be set up one hour prior to the group arrival. Groups with 6 or more guests are responsible for their own food set-up, whether through a caterer or themselves. We do have a list of recommended caterers available upon request.
  • Prohibited are strong aromatic foods such as garlic, seafood dishes, raw onions and foods containing heavy spices. Limit your catering to cold platters that will not disrupt the aromatherapy ambience of the spa. Please ask your group coordinator should you have questions prior to finalizing your menu.
  • Balloons and adhesive taped room decorations are not permitted.
  • The spa can provide the following: glassware, napkins, silverware, ice buckets, wine opener, coffee, tea and water. Please be sure to include what is needed when you complete the online Group Event Contract.
  • All services are full price. We do not offer group discounts, however, if applicable, our monthly specials found on our website may be applied but cannot be combined with gift cards or other discounts or coupons.
  • An additional service charge may be added to any events requiring specialized services and /or accommodations.
  • Names of guests and choice of services must be provided two weeks prior to event date.
  • We do ask that you and your guests arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your appointment times, so that you may check in and start your services on time.
  • The credit card listed on the contract will be charged in full once all guests have arrived and checked in, unless other arrangements have been made.
  • If you are running late for an appointment, we ask that you please call. We will do our best to accommodate your service. However, the service length may have to be adjusted in order to fit within our schedule and please note that you will be charged for the full service you were scheduled for.
  • We are not responsible for delays due to weather, traffic, construction, directions or any other circumstances beyond our control.
  • So that we may maintain the relaxing and tranquil atmosphere of our spa, please limit cell phone usage while in spa. We also kindly ask all guests as a courtesy to others to remember to use spa voices throughout our facility, especially while gathered in groups or in the private group room. Please understand that our staff may approach you and request that “spa voices” be used.
  • Please note: For all guests that schedule maternity massages, a doctor’s note is required either before the scheduled date or on the date of service. We are unable to offer maternity massage within the first trimester.

We strive to ensure that the information contained in the Margots.com site is accurate and reliable. However, errors may sometimes occur. Therefore, to the fullest extent permissible pursuant to applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, as it relates to this Site. We are not responsible for any damages or injuries caused by use of Margots.com, including without limitation, viruses, omissions or misstatements. We shall not be liable for any direct or indirect, special, consequential or incidental damages that result from your use or inability to use this Site.

The Terms & Conditions Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law. You agree that any action at law or equity arising out of or related to your use of Margots.com must be filed only in the state and federal courts located in the State of Michigan, and you submit to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

Margot European Spa (“us”, “we”, or “our”) operates Margots.com (the “Site”). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information we receive from users of the Site.

Like many site operators, we collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Site (“Log Data”).

In addition, we may use third-party services such as Google Analytics that collect, monitor and analyze trends and your movement for aggregate use.

Log Data is not linked to your personally identifiable information.

Occasionally, we may provide links to third party sites on our website. We are not responsible for the content or information collection practices of those sites. The privacy policy of other sites may differ from Margot European Spa’s privacy policy.
